The process of making Batik Tulis :

Ngukur, or in english is measure, this process is to measure how much fabric we need for the process of making batik tulis.
memola, is the process of making a pattern or trace on the fabric in a way that has been modeled on the pattern motifs, or are often said to ngeblat. Batik patterns or motifs are usually made on parchment paper first, then traced according to the pattern on the fabric. In this process we can trace or modeled directly on fabric using a pencil or canting.
Mbathik, is the process of incised wax batik fabric on top, beginning with drawing the lines outside pattern.
Nolet, is the process of colouring the patterns that we desired, we must be carefull on this process or the colour would mbleber (outside the pattern)
Nembok, namely the process of covering the parts that are not allowed to hit the basic color in the fabric
Next is ngepuur, ngepuur is colouring the background, we use black colour or dark colour for ngepuur
Rinse the wax, the next part of making batik tulis is rinse the wax by dip it in the boiled water on the stove
mbathik again, after the fabric is clean and dry you can draw it again with wax. The purpose is to maintain the first and second colour
nglorot, is the process of boiling the fabric to rinse the wax. the purpose is so we can see the pattern
Washing the fabric to clean it from all of the dirt
